Tronic Round Ceiling Downlight, Black with Light-Wood Accent, Surface-Mounted

Our review

This Tronic fixture is a round ceiling downlight finished in black with a light-wood detail, and it is surface-mounted, so it fixes directly to the ceiling without cutting a hole. That makes it a practical choice if you rent, live in a concrete-slab building, or simply do not want the mess of recessed installation. It suits bedrooms, corridors, and living areas where a warm, modern look is wanted, and the black-and-wood pairing sits well with timber furniture or matte black fittings. Before buying, check the ceiling surface is flat and sound enough to take a surface fixture, and confirm the light source and power details on the Sokonia listing, since none are given here. Compared with recessed downlights, this type is easier to fit and remove but sits proud of the ceiling, so consider whether that look works in a low room. Also weigh it against plain white surface fittings if you prefer something that blends in.
