Tronic Modern Crystal Raindrop Chandelier

Our review

The Tronic Modern Crystal Raindrop Chandelier is a ceiling light built around a stainless steel plate, with crystal droplets arranged in rows across it. Switch it on and the point is the sparkle: light catches each droplet and throws it back around the room, which is why this style tends to be chosen as a centrepiece rather than as background lighting. It suits someone finishing a dining room, stairwell, bedroom or entryway who wants the fixture itself to carry the look, and who is happy to plan the room around it. Before buying, check the ceiling height and the weight your ceiling can take, since chandeliers of this kind need secure fixing, and confirm the dimensions and bulb type on the Sokonia listing because those details decide whether it fits your space. Compare it with simpler pendant lights if you want understated lighting, or with multi-tier crystal designs if you want more spread. Also think about cleaning: rows of droplets collect dust, so factor in how easily you can reach it.
