Ingco Mini Gardening Trowel 340mm Carbon Steel HFTT858

Our review

This Ingco trowel is a hand tool for digging, planting and loosening soil in beds, pots and seed trays. At 340mm long and 85mm wide, it sits at the larger end of hand trowels, so it suits gardeners who want more reach and leverage than a short transplanting trowel gives, and it is less fiddly for anyone with limited grip strength. The blade is carbon steel, 1.5mm thick, which is a reasonable balance between stiffness and weight, though carbon steel can rust if left dirty or damp, so dry and lightly oil it after use. The handle uses Ingco's patented design, worth checking against your hand size if you plan long sessions. Compare blade width and handle shape with other carbon steel trowels before deciding, and note it ships on a paper card, so there is no case. Available on Sokonia.
