The layout is the interesting part: one long 50x24cm lower cooking surface, with two separate 21x21cm upper plates above it. That means two items can cook at once under different top heat, which suits a cafe doing paninis alongside a restaurant pushing out toasted sandwiches and grilled meats during a lunch rush. The 3.6kW rating points to a unit that expects a proper commercial power supply, so before buying, confirm your circuit and ventilation can handle it, and measure your counter space against that wide lower plate. Compare it with single-zone contact grills: they cost less and are simpler, but you lose the ability to run two different cooks side by side. Also weigh it against flat-top griddles, which offer more open surface but no top contact for faster two-sided cooking. If your volume is modest, a smaller single-plate press will likely do.
