CKE HEG-813 Commercial Electric Contact Grill with Grooved Cast Iron Plates

Our review

The CKE HEG-813 is a contact grill built for commercial settings, with a stainless steel body and cast iron plates that are grooved across the full surface. That grooved pattern is the detail worth noting: it leaves sear marks and lets fat run off, which suits paninis, toasted sandwiches, and quick-cooked items where you want both sides done at once. It is aimed at sandwich shops, cafes, and kitchens turning out food in volume rather than occasional home use. Before buying, think about your counter space and whether grooved plates match what you cook, since flat plates behave differently for eggs or delicate items. Compare against lighter domestic presses, which may not hold heat as steadily through a rush, and against flat-plate commercial grills if you need a larger cooking face. Since no specifications are listed here, check the plate size, power requirements, and dimensions on the Sokonia listing before you commit. Available on Sokonia.
