It suits someone making a quick, concentrated brew for one or two people rather than a household filling a large carafe. Before buying, think about capacity honestly: 250ml is modest, so if you regularly serve several drinkers at once, a larger filter machine will be more practical. Also check that your kitchen power matches 220-240V, and decide whether you want the automatic boil cut-off, which is the main convenience here.
