Decakila Hand Mixer 120W 7-Speed with Steel Beaters and Hook KEMX016W

Our review

This is a corded hand mixer from Decakila, rated at 120 watts with seven speeds and a speed control dial. It ships with steel beaters and a hook, so the same unit can knead dough or beat and mix lighter mixtures. It suits someone who bakes occasionally or cooks in a small kitchen where a bulky stand mixer would take up too much room, and who wants one tool for both whisking and simple dough work. Before buying, think about what you mix most: a 120W motor is fine for cake batter, cream and eggs, but heavy bread dough will work it harder, so knead in smaller batches and give the motor a rest. Check that the beaters and hook fit the way you expect, and confirm the plug and voltage suit your kitchen. Compared with larger stand mixers, a hand mixer like this is lighter to store and easier to move around, but you hold it the whole time and it has less torque. Compare it with other hand mixers on speed range, attachments and wattage, and decide whether seven speeds and a kneading hook matter for how you cook. Available on Sokonia.
