Decakila 1.7L Electric Kettle KEKT027W, 2200W with Boil-Dry Protection

Our review

This Decakila jug is a 1.7-litre electric kettle rated at 2200W on 220-240V, so it is built for the kind of mains supply found in Tanzanian homes. The body is glass with a stated 2.0mm thickness, and the lid opens by hand rather than by a button. Two safety touches stand out: the element cuts off once the water boils, and boil-dry protection shuts it down if it runs without water. A detachable filter sits in the spout, useful if your tap water carries sediment, and it can be taken out for rinsing. Cord storage and anti-slip feet help keep the base tidy and steady on a counter.
It suits households, offices and guest rooms where several cups are needed in one go, since 1.7L fills roughly six to seven mugs. If you mostly boil for one person, a smaller jug will heat faster and use less power. Before ordering, check the glass and base for cracks, confirm the filter and lid are present, and make sure your socket handles the wattage. Compare against stainless-steel kettles if you worry about breakage, and against lower-wattage models if speed matters less than draw. Available on Sokonia.
