Decakila 1.7L Electric Kettle 2200W with Boil-Dry Protection

Our review

This Decakila electric kettle is a 1.7-litre jug rated at 2200W on 220-240V, so it is built for the kind of mains supply common in Tanzania. The body is described as glass with 2.0mm thickness, and it sits on a base. Two safety features stand out for daily use: it switches off automatically once the water boils, and boil-dry protection cuts power if the element runs without enough water. A detachable filter sits in the spout, which helps if your tap water carries sediment, and it can be removed for rinsing. The lid opens by hand, and the base has cord storage plus anti-slip feet, small details that matter on a crowded counter. It suits households, offices and guest rooms where several cups are needed in a row. Before buying, think about what you actually boil: a 1.7L glass jug is generous for tea and instant coffee but heavier to lift when full, and glass needs more careful handling than plastic or stainless steel. Compare wattage if speed matters, check whether the lid and filter are easy to clean, and confirm the voltage matches your supply. If you want a simple kettle with boil-dry protection rather than a temperature-select model, this one covers the basics. Available on Sokonia.
