It suits someone cooling a living room, shop counter or office where several people sit at different angles, since the head sweeps air around the space instead of pointing at one spot. The three speed settings let you drop to a gentler airflow at night and step up when the room is warm. Metal blades are worth noting: they tend to hold their shape and feel more substantial than plastic ones, though they also mean the fan carries a bit more weight and should be handled with care when cleaning. Before buying, check the voltage of your power supply against the 40V figure listed, and confirm the blade guard can be opened or removed for dusting, because a fan that is hard to clean loses airflow quickly. Compare it with other orbit fans by looking at blade material, oscillation range and motor wattage, and with ordinary standing fans if you only need air in one direction.
