Dolphin 18-Inch Stand Fan, Model 1870, 50W with Timer

Our review

This is a freestanding pedestal fan from Dolphin, listed as the 18 Series model 1870. It pairs a 50W motor with five plastic blades, a one-hour timer and three speed settings, all mounted on a heavy base meant to keep it steady. The quiet motor and classic styling make it a reasonable pick for a bedroom, living room or a covered outdoor spot where you want moving air without much noise. Because it stands on the floor, check your ceiling height and the space the base needs, and decide whether a one-hour timer is enough for how you sleep or work. Compared with wall or table fans, a pedestal gives you more placement freedom; compared with metal-bladed models, plastic blades are lighter. Confirm blade material, timer range and speed count on the Sokonia listing before ordering.
