Frigidaire FD8019 Rice Cooker 4.2L 1600W Stainless Steel Lid

Our review

The Frigidaire FD8019 is a large-capacity rice cooker built around a 4.2 litre pot and a 1600 watt element. That size suits households of five or more, anyone cooking rice in bulk for a week, or people who regularly host. The stainless steel lid and removable non-stick inner pot are the practical details: the pot lifts out for washing, and the non-stick surface means less scraping. After the cooking cycle finishes, the unit switches itself to keep warm, so rice can sit without going cold before serving. The cool touch handles matter if you move the cooker while it is hot. Before buying, think about counter space, since a 4.2 litre body takes up room, and check whether the pot is genuinely easy to remove and refit in your hands. Compare with smaller 1.8 litre cookers if you usually cook for one or two, and with basic models that lack a keep warm mode. If you want a straightforward large cooker without extra preset menus, this one is worth a look, available on Sokonia.
