Hisense 20kg Top Load Washing Machine WT5i2023DB

Our review

This Hisense top load washer is aimed at anyone whose laundry has outgrown a standard machine: big families, shared households, guesthouses, salons, and small laundries that run several loads a day. The 20kg drum is the headline here, and it is the number worth thinking about first, because it decides how many days of washing you can clear in one cycle rather than three. It is a fully automatic top loader, so you load from above and let the machine handle the wash sequence, and the smart fuzzy control is there to adjust the cycle instead of leaving you to guess settings. The direct drive inverter motor is the other detail worth noting, since inverter drive is generally quieter and gentler on power than a conventional motor, which matters when a large machine runs often. Before buying, measure your space carefully. A 20kg top loader is a big unit, so check the doorway it has to pass through, the floor area it will occupy, and whether you have a tap and drain point within reach. Also confirm the lid clearance, because top loaders need room above for loading. Compare it against front loaders of similar capacity if water use and stacking matter to you, and against smaller top loaders if you rarely fill 20kg. Available on Sokonia.
