Hisense 5S Series DH5S102BB Heat Pump Dryer, 10.5kg, Black

Our review

This is a large-capacity heat pump tumble dryer from Hisense's 5S Series, finished in black and rated at 10.5kg. That drum size puts it in the territory of households of five or more, or anyone who regularly dries bedding, towels and school uniforms in one go. Heat pump drying works at lower temperatures than a conventional condenser or vented machine, which is gentler on fabrics and generally lighter on running costs, though cycles tend to run longer. Two named features stand out: Quick Dry 30', a short cycle for small loads you need back quickly, and Anti Crease, which tumbles the drum after the cycle ends to reduce creasing and ironing. Before buying, check the space you have, since heat pump dryers need airflow around them and usually cannot sit in a tight cupboard, and confirm the door hinge side suits your room. Compare against similarly sized heat pump models from other brands on cycle length, noise and how easy the lint filter is to reach, and think about whether a 10.5kg drum is genuinely needed or a smaller unit would do.
