Ingco Claw Hammer 450g Fiberglass Handle HCH80816

Our review

This is a 450g (16oz) claw hammer from Ingco, built around a drop-forged head in 45# carbon steel that has been heat treated, paired with the brand's fiberglass handle. That weight sits in the general-purpose middle ground: heavy enough to drive common nails into timber without much effort, light enough to keep control for pulling and prying. It suits a homeowner handling repairs, framing, pallet work and furniture assembly, and a tradesperson who wants a spare hammer rather than a precision tool. Before buying, check the handle length and grip feel, since fiberglass handles vary in balance and shock absorption, and confirm the claw shape suits the nails you pull most. Compare it with a steel-shaft or wooden-handle hammer of similar weight if you prefer a different feel, and with lighter 8oz or heavier 20oz options if your work leans one way.
