Ingco Steel Measuring Tape 30m HSMT8430
TSh 37,000
Our review
This is a long steel measuring tape from Ingco, model HSMT8430, with a 30-metre blade that is 12.5mm wide and marked in both metric and inch. The 3:1 gear ratio speeds up rewinding, and the retracting gear is described as pure material, with an all-rubber cover and an integrated handle for carrying and storage. It arrives packed in a colour box.
It suits builders, land surveyors, farmers, fencers and anyone measuring long distances where a 5m or 8m pocket tape runs out. Because the blade is long, check how it feels in hand and whether the rubber cover and handle make winding comfortable over repeated use. Compare blade width and coating, since wider, coated blades resist kinking and rust better on rough ground. Also weigh the gear ratio against slower single-speed tapes, and confirm the case and markings match how you work.
