Ingco Wood Chisel 25mm HWC0825 CRV Blade

Our review

This is a 25mm wood chisel from Ingco, listed as model HWC0825 and measuring 25 by 140mm. The blade is described as CRV, which in chisel terms points to chrome-vanadium steel, a common choice for edge tools that need to hold up to repeated paring and light mallet work. At 25mm it sits in the middle of the common range, wide enough for cleaning out mortises and trimming tenons, but not so wide that it becomes awkward in tighter joints. It suits carpenters, joiners and serious DIY woodworkers who want a straightforward bench chisel rather than a full set. Before buying, think about the width you actually reach for most, since a single chisel only earns its place if it matches your typical joint sizes. Compare it with similar chisels by blade steel, handle style and whether you prefer buying one at a time or as a set. The listing notes it is packed individually in a double blister, so it arrives as a single tool. It is available on Sokonia.
