JBL Cinema SB550 3.1Ch Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, 250W

Our review

The JBL Cinema SB550 is a 3.1-channel soundbar system that pairs a compact bar with a wireless 5.25-inch subwoofer, together rated at 250 watts. It supports Dolby Audio, HDMI ARC and Bluetooth streaming. The dedicated center channel is the standout detail here: it handles dialogue separately, which matters if you often struggle to hear speech over background music and effects in films and series. This suits someone upgrading from built-in TV speakers who wants more weight and clarity without a full surround setup. Before buying, check that your TV has an HDMI ARC port, since that is the cleanest way to connect it, and confirm you have space and a power socket near where the subwoofer will sit, as it is wireless but still needs power. Compare it with other 3.1 bars that include a subwoofer; the key differences to weigh are whether they have a center channel at all and how they connect. Available on Sokonia.
