The plates are nonstick and detachable, which matters more than it sounds, because cleanup is the part people tire of first. A light indicator and a cool-touch handle round out the practical side, and at 750W it draws modest power for a plug-in appliance. It suits someone in a flat or small kitchen who wants one appliance instead of two, and who cooks for one or two people rather than a family. Before buying, check the plate set you actually need is the one included, confirm the wattage against your socket and any backup power setup, and think about storage space, since a two-slice unit still needs a cupboard shelf. Compare against a plain sandwich maker if you never grill, and against a larger contact grill if you regularly cook for more than two.
