Ocean 9-Inch Glass Dinner Plate, Model 1P00172L

Our review

This Ocean plate is a single 9-inch piece made from soda lime glass, the same family of glass used for many everyday tableware items because it is clear, relatively tough and easy to wipe clean. The transparent finish lets food colours show through, which suits casual serving of vegetables, fruit, snacks and similar dishes. It is a reasonable pick if you want a plain, see-through plate rather than patterned porcelain or melamine. Note that the listing title says one piece while the summary mentions a six-piece pack, so confirm the quantity before ordering. Also check the diameter suits your portions and that the plates are stacked safely, since glass can chip at the rim. Compare with ceramic plates of the same size if you prefer an opaque look, or with tempered glass options if you need extra heat resistance. Available on Sokonia.
