Philips Wireless Dynamic Microphone DLM3401SP/00 with 2.4GHz Rechargeable Receiver

Our review

This is a single wireless dynamic microphone from Philips, paired with a receiver that runs on 2.4GHz and recharges rather than relying on disposable batteries. A vocal sensitivity control gives you four levels of gain, so you can tune how strongly the mic picks up your voice. It is aimed at home singers, party hosts and casual performers who want a cable-free mic for a party speaker or audio set, and the included 6.3 to 3.5mm adaptor helps with common input sizes. Dynamic capsules like this one tend to handle both vocals and instruments. Before buying, check that your speaker or audio set accepts the connection you plan to use, and think about whether one mic is enough or you need a second for duets. Compared with wired dynamic mics, you trade some simplicity for freedom of movement; compared with other wireless mics, the rechargeable receiver and gain control are the details worth weighing.
