Our review
This is a 12-inch single voice coil subwoofer from Pioneer's Champion Series, rated at 4 ohms with 400 W nominal and 1500 W max power. It is aimed at car audio listeners who want deep, loud bass and are planning an enclosed installation rather than a free-air setup. Because it uses a single 4-ohm voice coil, it pairs simply with a mono amplifier that is stable at that impedance, and it will not give you the wiring flexibility of a dual voice coil model. Before buying, confirm your enclosure volume and type suit a 12-inch driver, and check that your amplifier's RMS output at 4 ohms sits near the 400 W nominal figure rather than the 1500 W peak. Compared with dual voice coil subwoofers, this one is easier to wire but limits how you configure impedance. Pioneer's Champion Series heritage is the main draw here, and the seamless cone is described as light and rigid for durability and solid bass. Available on Sokonia.
