Sony HT-S500 5.1ch Soundbar System with Wired Rear Speakers
TSh 1,000,000
Our review
The Sony HT-S500 is a 5.1-channel home cinema audio system built around a three-channel soundbar, a subwoofer, and two wired rear speakers. It suits someone who wants genuine surround placement rather than a single bar simulating it, and who can run cable to the back of the room. Dolby Digital processing feeds the separate channels, and the system is rated at 1000W total output. Before buying, measure your seating layout and confirm you can route speaker wire behind or under furniture, since the rear units are wired. Compare it with wireless-rear systems if cabling is a problem, and with 2.1 or 3.1 bars if you mainly watch dialogue-heavy content. Also weigh how much shelf or stand space the subwoofer and rears will take. Available on Sokonia.
