Symphony Desert Air Cooler 80L WINTER 80XL with Remote and Honeycomb Pads

Our review

The Symphony Desert Air Cooler WINTER 80XL is a large-capacity evaporative cooler built around honeycomb pads, with i-Pure technology and a multi-function remote included. Its 80-litre tank and powerful fan point to longer running sessions between refills, which suits open living areas, workshops or rooms where an air conditioner would be impractical or costly to run. The remote lets you change settings without leaving your seat, and the cooling is described as whisper quiet, so it may appeal if noise at night matters to you. Before buying, think about how you will fill and drain a unit this size, and whether you have cross-ventilation, since evaporative coolers work best in dry air with airflow rather than sealed, humid rooms. Compare it with smaller desert coolers if you only need to cool one bedroom, and with window or split air conditioners if you need cooling in a closed, humid space. Honeycomb pads generally need periodic cleaning or replacement, so factor that into upkeep. Available on Sokonia.
