Tefal Easy Cook Pancake Pan 25cm with Thermo Signal

Our review

This is a 25cm pancake pan from Tefal's Easy Cook range, listed with a Thermo Signal feature and a fully coated body. The coating covers the inside, the outside and the flameguard, which is the main practical difference from a basic non-stick pan: batter that spills over the rim during pouring is far less likely to bake on and stain. It suits someone who makes pancakes, crepes or chapati regularly and wants a pan they can wipe or rinse without scrubbing. The Thermo Signal is the detail to understand before buying, since it is designed to show when the pan has reached cooking temperature, so you are not guessing by eye. Compare it against plain non-stick pans of the same diameter, which may cost less but usually have an uncoated exterior, and against heavier cast pans that hold heat better but are harder to clean. Check the base actually sits flat on your hob type, and confirm the diameter matches the size of pancake you want, because 25cm is generous for thin crepes but wide for small, thick pancakes. Available on Sokonia.
