Tronic 100W LED Flood Light, Cool Daylight 6500K, Aluminium Body

Our review

This Tronic flood light is a 100W LED fixture that produces cool daylight at 6500K, so the light it throws is crisp and white rather than warm or yellow. Tronic rates its luminous efficacy at over 110 lumens per watt, which is the figure to focus on if running costs matter to you, since it indicates how much light you get for the power drawn. The housing is aluminium, a sensible choice for a fitting that will sit outdoors and needs to shed heat. It suits someone lighting a compound wall, gate area, yard or parking spot where clear, bright illumination is wanted after dark. Before buying, think about how much area you need to cover and whether a single 100W unit mounted high will reach it, or whether two smaller fittings would spread light more evenly. Also consider the mounting position and whether the beam pattern of a flood light is right for your space, since flood lights wash a wide area rather than focusing on one point. Compare it with other outdoor LED fittings on wattage, colour temperature and body material, and check that 6500K is the tone you want, as some buyers prefer warmer outdoor light. It is available on Sokonia.
