Tronic 12-Globe Spiral Pendant Chandelier, Matte Black

Our review

This Tronic pendant chandelier hangs twelve opal glass globes in a spiral arrangement from a matte black canopy. Because the globes are opal rather than clear, the light they give off is soft and diffused, which makes the fixture better suited to dining areas, stairwells, double-height living rooms, or hotel-style bedrooms than to task lighting over a kitchen counter. The matte black finish keeps the frame visually quiet, so the spiral of glowing globes becomes the focal point rather than the metalwork.
Before buying, work out whether your ceiling height and the room's proportions can carry a fixture of this shape. A spiral pendant needs vertical clearance to be seen properly, and it should hang clear of door swings and walkways. Check the ceiling fixing point can take the weight of twelve glass globes plus the frame, and confirm your ceiling rose or existing wiring suits a pendant of this type. If your room has a sloped or very low ceiling, a flush mount or a single-globe pendant will usually sit better.
Compare it with other multi-globe pendants by looking at globe count, glass type, and finish. Clear glass reads brighter and more decorative; opal glass like this reads calmer and more even. Also weigh a linear or cluster arrangement against this spiral if your room is long rather than tall. The chandelier is available on Sokonia.
