Tronic 13A Switched Socket with Dual USB Type A & C, Gold Finish

Our review

This is a single-gang 13A switched wall socket from Tronic that adds two USB charging ports alongside the standard outlet, one Type A and one Type C. The gold finish and square-edge shape are aimed at rooms where the fittings are meant to be seen, so it suits anyone updating a lounge, bedroom or office wall rather than hiding the socket behind furniture. Before buying, check the depth of your back box and whether your wiring can support the socket, since no specifications are listed here. Compare it with plain 13A sockets plus separate USB adapters, and with sockets offering only Type A ports.
