This is a 2.5mm five core flexible cable from Tronic, made in Tanzania and supplied as a 100 metre length. The conductors are 99.9% pure copper, and the insulation is PVC, which is what gives the cable its flexibility. Five cores in one sheath suits wiring where several conductors need to run together, such as connecting equipment that needs a live, neutral, earth and two extra lines. The 2.5mm cross-section is a common size for circuits that draw moderate current, so it is worth confirming your circuit's load and the cable size your electrician or installer specifies before you commit to a whole reel. Compare it with other flexible cables on the basis of core count, conductor material, insulation type and reel length, since those are the details that decide whether a cable is right for a job.
