Our review

This is a two-foot glass tube light from Tronic, built on the familiar T8 shape so it can take the place of a conventional fluorescent tube rather than requiring a different kind of fitting. It gives daylight-coloured light, which reads cooler and whiter than warm alternatives and tends to suit kitchens, corridors, shops, workshops and other work areas where clear visibility matters more than a soft glow. It is a sensible pick if you already have a tube fixture and want the longer life and lower running cost that LED usually brings, or if you are lighting a small space where a full-length tube would be overkill. Before buying, check the physical length and the cap type of your existing fitting, and confirm whether your fixture needs the starter or ballast bypassed, since that varies. Compare against other two-foot LED tubes on wattage, colour temperature and whether the tube is glass or plastic, as those affect brightness and how it feels in the room. Also weigh it against a standard fluorescent tube if upfront cost is your main concern.
