Tronic 3-in-1 Mini, Micro and HDMI Adaptor

Our review

The Tronic 3 in 1 Mini, Micro, HDMI Adaptor is a small connector designed to bridge the three HDMI-style plug sizes: standard HDMI, Mini HDMI and Micro HDMI. That makes it relevant if you own a mix of devices, such as a camera with a Micro HDMI port, a laptop or monitor with full-size HDMI, and something older that uses Mini HDMI. Instead of hunting for a separate cable for each device, one adaptor can cover several of those situations.
Before buying, check the exact port on your device. Mini and Micro HDMI look similar but are not interchangeable, and a standard HDMI plug will not fit either small socket. Also confirm the direction you need: some adaptors are built to convert a small plug into a full-size socket, while others work the other way. Since no specifications are listed for this Tronic unit, verify the connector types and orientation with the seller on Sokonia before ordering.
Compared with single-purpose adaptors, a three-in-one saves space in a bag and reduces the number of cables you carry. The trade-off is that adaptors with multiple connectors can be bulkier and may strain a small port if the cable pulls. A short HDMI cable between the adaptor and your screen usually puts less stress on the device. If you only ever use one connector type, a dedicated adaptor may be simpler and cheaper.
