Tronic 300A Underground Cutout with Fuse

Our review

This Tronic unit is an underground cutout, the piece of electrical equipment that sits between the mains or service cable coming into your property and the internal wiring inside it. Its job is to let electricity pass through safely and efficiently, and it also houses the main fuse, so the fuse protecting your supply lives inside this enclosure rather than somewhere separate.
It suits anyone setting up or replacing the service entry point on a property, particularly where the supply cable arrives underground rather than overhead. Because the cutout carries the main fuse, it is a safety-critical part of the installation, so it is worth confirming that the 300A rating matches the capacity of your supply and the fuse your utility requires before you commit.
When comparing options of this kind, look at the current rating, whether a fuse is included, and how the unit is designed to be mounted and sealed. The Tronic cutout is available on Sokonia, where you can check the listing details against your electrician's specification.
