Tronic 3D Glass Ceiling Lamp PL 6011-3D, Opal Glass and Aluminium, E27

Our review

This is a ceiling-mounted light from Tronic, model PL 6011-3D, made from opal glass with an aluminium frame. The opal glass diffuses light rather than throwing a sharp beam, so it tends to suit rooms where you want even, softer illumination, such as a bedroom, hallway or dining area, rather than a workspace needing a focused task light. Its dimensions are 400mm wide and 290mm tall, which is worth measuring against your ceiling height and room size before you commit, since a fitting this wide can dominate a small space. It runs on AC 220 to 240V and takes an E27 lamp, so you can choose the bulb's brightness and colour temperature yourself; check what your existing fittings use if you want to keep things consistent. The black and white finish is fairly neutral, so compare it against your ceiling colour and any other fixtures nearby. Tronic backs it with a one-year warranty. Before buying, confirm the E27 base suits your plans and that the width clears any door swing or cabinet. It is available on Sokonia.
