Tronic 5.5HP DOL Starter, 415V, IP65

Our review

This is a direct-on-line starter from Tronic, built to switch an induction motor on and off at full line voltage. It carries a 5.5HP rating at AC 415V, so it suits small workshop machinery, pumps, compressors and similar single-motor jobs where the supply can take the inrush current of a direct start. The enclosure is aluminium with an IP65 rating, and the unit combines an OFF switch with an emergency ON push button. Before buying, confirm your motor's horsepower and voltage match, and that your supply and protection can handle DOL starting. Compare with soft starters or star-delta units if your motor is larger or the supply is weak. Available on Sokonia.
