Tronic 6mm 2 Core Flexible Cable, 100m, Made in Tanzania

Our review
This is a 6mm two-core flexible cable from Tronic, supplied as a 100-metre length. The conductors are 99.9% pure copper, and the insulation is PVC. Tronic states the cable is manufactured in Tanzania, which matters if you prefer locally made electrical materials or want a shorter supply chain behind your wiring. The 6mm cross-section and two-core layout suit fixed wiring where you need both live and neutral in one flexible run, such as connecting larger appliances or sub-circuits rather than light fittings. Before ordering, confirm the current your circuit will carry and whether your installer wants flexible cable or a stiffer twin-and-earth type, since the two are not interchangeable. Also check that 6mm is the size your electrician specified; going smaller to save money is a false economy on cable. Compare this with other 6mm two-core flexible cables on conductor purity, insulation material, country of manufacture and the actual reel length, because nominal lengths can vary between sellers. A qualified electrician should confirm suitability for your installation.
