Tronic ABS Consumer Unit 1 Way Enclosure Complete with 100A Isolator

Our review

This Tronic consumer unit is a one-way enclosure made from ABS plastic, supplied as a complete unit. Inside, it carries a 100A double pole Tronic isolator, and it is designed to house the parts that control power to the circuits in a home, such as the mains switch, residual current devices and circuit breakers. Because it is a single-way unit, it suits a focused job rather than a whole-house distribution board, so it is worth thinking about how many circuits you actually need to protect before choosing it. If your installation only calls for one outgoing way, this keeps things simple. Before buying, check the rating and type of the devices you plan to fit alongside the isolator, and confirm the enclosure size works for your wiring and mounting position. Compare it with multi-way consumer units if you expect to add circuits later, and with units that do not include an isolator, since those may need one bought separately. The 100A double pole isolator is the main thing setting this apart from a bare enclosure. It is available on Sokonia.
