Our review
The Tronic Advanced Earth Resistance Tester MS2308 is a dedicated instrument for checking how well an electrical grounding or earthing system performs. Rather than a general-purpose multimeter, it is aimed at electricians, solar installers, technicians and site engineers who need to confirm that earth electrodes and grounding networks actually do their job. It can also suit facilities teams responsible for periodic safety checks on installations.
Before buying, confirm the measurement ranges and test methods you need, since earth testers vary in how they take readings. Check whether the supplied leads, stakes or clamps match your typical site conditions, and whether the display and controls suit outdoor work. Compare it with clamp-on earth testers, which are quicker but suit different situations, and with combined multimeter models that trade specialisation for versatility. The MS2308 is available on Sokonia.
