Tronic Black Bollard Light — Outdoor Wall Lantern with Clear Glass

Our review

This Tronic fitting is a black outdoor wall lantern with clear glass, the kind of fixture usually mounted beside an entrance, along a boundary wall or on a gate pillar to light a pathway after dark. The clear glass matters: it lets the bulb's full output through without diffusing it, so you get brighter, more direct light on steps and doorways than a frosted or opal diffuser would give. Tronic positions it as a durable, reliable and waterproof option for security lighting, which is the main thing to weigh. Before buying, check the bulb base and wattage your chosen lamp needs, since none is stated here, and confirm the mounting height and spacing suit the area you want covered. Compare it with similar lanterns on glass type, finish and IP rating, and decide whether a bollard-style post light would serve your space better than a wall-mounted one. Available on Sokonia.
