Tronic Black Garden Light Without Pole, Die-Cast Aluminum Gate Post Mount

Our review

This Tronic fixture is a gate post mount outdoor light finished in black and made from die-cast aluminum. Its shape is geometric and contemporary, and it is designed to throw ambient indirect light rather than a harsh beam, so it works best where you want a welcoming glow at an entrance, gate or boundary wall rather than bright task lighting. It suits homeowners finishing a modern gate or replacing an old post lamp who want the fitting itself to look clean and architectural. Note that it is supplied without a pole, so you need an existing post, pillar or wall mount point of the right kind, and you should confirm the mounting arrangement and wiring before ordering. Compare it with other post-mount gate lights on build material, since die-cast aluminum generally resists weather better than thin pressed metal, and on whether they include a pole. If your post is already in place and you want indirect entrance lighting, this is a sensible candidate; if you need a complete post-and-light set, look at options that include the pole.
