Tronic Black Wall Light, Warm White 40W Aluminium Sconce

Our review

This Tronic wall light is a black aluminium sconce measuring 310mm high and 230mm wide, rated at 40W and running on AC 220–240V. It produces warm white light, which suits rooms where you want a softer, relaxed glow rather than crisp task lighting, such as a bedroom, hallway, dining area or bathroom. Because the fitting is 40W, it draws a fair amount of power for a single wall light, so it is worth thinking about how long you leave it on and whether you would rather have several lower-output fittings instead. Before buying, check the dimensions against the wall space you have in mind, and confirm your wiring is 220–240V, since the fitting is not listed for other voltages. Also decide whether warm white matches the other bulbs in the room, as mixing colour temperatures can look uneven. Alternatives in this category are often smaller or finished in chrome or brass, so compare size and finish first if matching an existing scheme matters to you. The Tronic is available on Sokonia.
