Tronic Brown Up and Down Spotlight

Our review

The Tronic Brown Up and Down Spotlight is a wall-mounted fitting that sends light out from both the top and bottom of the unit, which is what gives it that twin wash of light on the wall rather than a single beam. Because Tronic describes it as suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it can work on a covered patio wall, along a corridor, or indoors where you want a softer, more decorative effect than a plain downlight gives. It suits homeowners and businesses trying to build a warm, inviting atmosphere rather than bright task lighting. Before buying, check the surface you are mounting it on and how it will be wired, since no specifications are listed here. Compare it with single-direction spotlights if you only need light aimed one way, and with larger twin fittings if you are lighting a wide facade.
