This is a low-wattage LED bulb from Tronic, finished in purple and built with an E14 small screw base. At 2 watts it draws very little power, so it suits fittings where you want a coloured accent rather than bright white task light: a bedside lamp, a small decorative fixture, a child's night light, or a sign or display that needs a purple tint. Because the cap is E14, check your socket before ordering, since many household lamps in Tanzania use the wider E27 base and the two are not interchangeable. Also confirm the fitting can take a bulb of this shape and that purple light is what you actually want in that spot. Compared with incandescent bulbs, an LED like this uses at least 75% less energy, and it lasts far longer, roughly 35 to 50 times an incandescent and 2 to 5 times a fluorescent, which reduces how often you replace it. If you need general room lighting, a white LED in a higher wattage will serve you better; this one is for colour and mood. Available on Sokonia.
