This is a 20-watt LED bulb from Tronic, finished in daylight and fitted with a B22 pin base, the push-and-twist bayonet type common in many Tanzanian homes. At 20W it sits in the brighter end of everyday household bulbs, so it suits rooms where you want clear, white light rather than a dim glow, such as kitchens, living areas, corridors or workspaces. The main reason to choose LED over an old incandescent or fluorescent bulb is running cost: this one uses at least 75% less energy than an incandescent equivalent, and it lasts roughly 35 to 50 times longer than incandescent and two to five times longer than fluorescent, which means fewer replacements and less maintenance. Before buying, check your fitting is genuinely B22 pin and not the screw-type E27, since the two are not interchangeable, and confirm 20W is the brightness level you want for the space. Compare against lower-wattage LED bulbs if you only need soft background light, and against fluorescent tubes if you are lighting a larger area.
