Tronic USB 2.0 OTG Cable, Micro B Male to Type A Male, Model UB OOTG-SA
TSh 3,000
Our review
This is a short adapter-style cable from Tronic, listed as model UB OOTG-SA. One end carries a Micro B male plug and the other a Type A male plug, and the listing describes it as built for Samsung devices. In practice, a cable like this is what lets a compatible phone or tablet act as a USB host, so you can attach things such as a flash drive, keyboard or mouse through the larger Type A end. It suits someone whose device still uses the older Micro B port rather than USB-C, and who wants a single simple lead instead of a bulky adapter. Before ordering, check your phone or tablet's port shape and confirm it supports USB On-the-Go, because OTG is a device capability, not something the cable creates. Also compare against USB-C OTG options and against Micro B to USB-A adapters, which do a similar job in a different shape. If your device has moved to USB-C, this particular cable will not fit. Otherwise it is a straightforward, low-complexity accessory with no extra features to weigh up. Available on Sokonia.
