Tronic Ceiling Downlight Round Surface Mounted Golden GU10
TSh 41,500
Our review
This Tronic downlight is a round, surface-mounted ceiling fitting finished in gold, designed to run on 220-240V mains power and take a GU10 lamp. Because it mounts on the surface rather than recessing into the ceiling, it suits rooms where you cannot or would rather not cut into the plasterboard, such as rented flats, concrete ceilings or older buildings. The IP20 rating means it is intended for dry indoor areas, so keep it out of bathrooms, showers and other damp spots. Before buying, confirm you have a GU10 bulb of the right wattage, since the lamp is not stated as included, and check the ceiling can take a surface fitting without clashing with beams or existing fixtures. Compared with recessed downlights, this type is easier to install and remove but sits lower, so headroom and sightlines matter. Also weigh the gold finish against your other fittings, as it stands out more than white or chrome. Available on Sokonia.
