Tronic Ceiling Lamp Holder 9 B22, White Bakelite, 6-Inch Ceiling Rose
TSh 9,000
Our review
This Tronic ceiling rose is essentially an extended bulb holder, about six inches across and finished in white, so it sits close to the ceiling and takes a standard B22 pin-type lamp. The body is bakelite, a hard, heat-resistant plastic that has been used for lamp fittings for decades, and it is rated for AC 220-240V, which matches typical Tanzanian mains supply. It suits anyone replacing a worn or cracked holder, or fitting a pendant-style light where the bulb needs to hang a little lower than a flush rose allows. Installation is straightforward for a competent DIYer, but if you are unsure about your wiring, use a qualified electrician. Before buying, confirm your existing bulb is a bayonet B22 rather than a screw fitting, and check the ceiling rose will cover the hole and wiring in your ceiling. Compare with plain flush holders if you want the bulb tight to the ceiling, or with metal-bodied fittings if you prefer a different look. A one-year warranty is stated, and the item is available on Sokonia.
