Tronic Ceiling Mounted LED Exit Light with Polycarbonate Housing

Our review

This is a ceiling-mounted exit light from Tronic, built around LEDs rather than older lamp types. Tronic positions it as compact, with the LED source chosen for energy savings and a longer working life than conventional bulbs. Light output is spread by a polycarbonate housing and a clear diffuser, so the illuminated sign reads evenly rather than in hot spots. It suits building owners, electricians and facility managers fitting escape route signage in offices, shops, schools, clinics or apartment blocks, where a ceiling fixing keeps the sign out of the way. Before buying, confirm your ceiling type and mounting method, the voltage and wiring arrangement your circuit uses, and whether your local fire or building requirements call for a particular sign format, viewing distance or backup behaviour during a power cut. Compare it with other exit lights on housing material, diffuser clarity, and whether the unit is designed for maintained or non-maintained operation, since those choices affect both compliance and running cost. The polycarbonate housing is worth noting if the fitting will sit in a busy or humid area. Available on Sokonia.
