Tronic Ceiling Rose in White Bakelite, 220-240V
TSh 5,000
Our review
This Tronic ceiling rose is the small white fitting that sits at the ceiling where a pendant or light cable meets the wiring, and its job is to cover the connections so they are not left exposed. It is made from bakelite in white and is rated for AC 220-240V, which matches typical Tanzanian mains supply. The detail worth noting is the sizable earth terminal, which makes terminating an earth conductor less fiddly than on roses with cramped terminals. It suits anyone replacing a cracked or missing rose, or tidying up a light point during a rewire or repaint. Before buying, check the fixing method your ceiling point uses, confirm the cable entry suits your flex, and make sure your circuit is isolated before you touch any wiring. Compare against plastic roses if you want something lighter, and against metal or decorative covers if appearance matters more than a plain finish. Tronic backs it with a one-year warranty.
