Tronic 5-Way Connector with Button, 16A (L+N+E+1+2)

Our review

This Tronic connector is a five-way wiring block rated at 16 amps, with terminals marked L, N, E, 1 and 2 and a button on the housing. It joins several conductors at one point, which is what you need when a circuit feeds more than one fitting, such as ceiling fans, light switches, holders or lighting fixtures. The enclosure keeps the joint from touching anything that could short it, and the button gives you a way to work the connection without pulling the wires apart. It suits anyone doing fixed wiring where a single feed has to branch out. Before buying, check the number of ways and the 16A rating against your load, and confirm the terminal markings match your wiring layout. Compare it with plain terminal blocks and junction boxes: those do the same joining job, but this one adds the button and a fixed five-way arrangement, so weigh whether you actually need that. If your circuit carries more current or more conductors, look at a higher-rated or larger block instead.
