Tronic Contemporary Wooden Dome Pendant Light

Our review

This Tronic pendant is a dome-shaped ceiling light with an open-cage frame made from natural wood. The open structure means you see the bulb rather than a solid shade, so the fixture reads as much as a decorative object as a light source. It suits anyone drawn to warm, organic materials in a dining room, kitchen island, bedroom or hallway, and it works well in interiors that mix wood, rattan or linen textures. Because the cage is open, the bulb is always visible, so an exposed-filament or vintage-style bulb will look far better than a standard opaque one. Before buying, check the ceiling height and the drop you need, confirm the fitting type and maximum wattage your bulb requires, and make sure your ceiling can take the weight of a pendant. Compare it with metal or fabric-shade pendants: wood gives a softer, more natural look, but it will not direct light downward as tightly as a solid shade. Also consider whether you want one statement piece or a row of smaller pendants over a counter. It is available on Sokonia.
